| ~ Neighborhood News ~ |
There will be NO trash pick-up on Monday, February 8th - tell your neighbors!
Thanks to all the wonderful residents who plowed sidewalks and who are out helping others cope with this storm.
This inspiring picture was submitted by Monica Harmon from Kirkham Court.
You can check out more snow storm pictures by selecting the photo album tab at left.
While you are enjoying the snow this weekend, please send us your pictures and we will post them in an online photo album to document our storm of the century! E-mail your best picture (with a description) to cmcdonald1@cox.net .
We can expect a fairly narrow travel lane by Sunday evening
What you can do to help:
- Identify those in your community with special needs or emergency type professions. Let them know that they should seek other accommodation rather than expect to move in and out of the community over this weekend.
- When digging out cars make an effort to pile the snow between, and in front of the cars, and not throw the snow into the street.
- Please do not talk to plow drivers - they need to be left alone to do their job. If we have instances where the driver is being abused, or managed they have been instructed to leave the site to return when they can complete the work.
Letters From the Community
Communication is an essential part of what we do as a community. To increase the communication of our residents and home owners, the DFCA Board of Directors has voted to establish a new Letters From the Community section in our monthly newsletter. We welcome diversity of thought and a diversity of contributors for a wide range of subjects. Letters submitted by community members (DFCA residents or home owners,) that meet the submission requirements, will be printed. Opinions or concerns expressed in these letters need to conform to the following guidelines: guidelines
